Modifying a path

To create the funky shape of the bottom of the GIZMO we are going to modify the path that defines the ellispe. To modify a path you must first select the path and then select one or more curve points.

1. Deselect all shapes by choosing Select > Deselect.
   
2. Choose the Subselection tool.
   
   
3. Click on the ellipse shape.
   You will notice the curve points are displayed as empty circles.
   
4. Click and drag the ellipse's bottom curve point to the intersection of the two guides.
   
   
5. Click and drag the ellipse's top curve point to the top of the rectangle shape.
   Don't go above it and try to keep the point on the centre guide.
