Applying Live Effects

We are going to make the body of our GIZMO look like metal by applying a number of live effects.

1. Make sure the Body shape is selected.
   
2. In the Properties Inspector choose linear from the pop-up Fill category menu.
   
   
3. Click on the colour box.
   The gradient fill options will appear.
   
   The gradient fill options may look different to those below depending on which fill was last used and which fill colour you have used for your shape.
   
4. Make sure you have two colour swatches at each end of your colour ramp. Make them both white by clicking on the swatch and choosing white from the pop up colour palette.
   
   
5. Add another colour swatch by clicking below the Colour Ramp as below.
   
   
6. Add one more colour swatch below the Colour Ramp. Assign them the colours as indicated.
