Closing a path

In order to create the shape we want for the Grips we are going to have to close the Grip Path. To do this we will use the Pen tool.

1. Choose the Pen tool.
   
   
2. Make sure the Grip Path is selected.
   
3. Click carefully on the bottom end curve point.
   
   
4. Click on the top end curve point.
   
   Notice the Pen tool cursor changed as you hovered over the top end curve point. A small circle appeared to show you that clicking here would close the path. After clicking the cursor changes to the one shown above.
   

You will notice that the path has been closed with a straight line. To create the shape of the Grip we want a curved line. To acheive this we will add another curve point about half way along the straight section.
