Creating a Button Symbol

Symbols are Fireworks way of allowing you to create reusable and interactive objects.

1. Expand the Assets panel group if it is not already on view.
   The Assets panel has three tabs by default. Styles, URL and Library.
   
2. Choose the Library tab.
   
   
3. Click on the Assets panel group menu.
   
   
4. Choose New Symbol...
   
   Name the symbol Menu, choose Button as it's type and click OK.
   
   The Symbol edit window will appear.
   
   Notice the tabs along the top of the Symbol edit window.
