Defining Button states

It is a good idea for buttons to give the user some form of visual indication as to it's state. We will modify the buttons Over state to let the user know the cursor is over an active button and we will set the button's Down state to let the user know they have clicked the button.

  1. Click on the Over tab.
It appears your button graphic has disappeared.
  2. Click the Copy Up Graphic button.
The graphics used on the Up state of the button are copied to the Over state.
  3. Use the Pointer tool to select the rectangle of the graphic.
  4. Change the rectangle's fill colour to: #AEC6C6

  5. Click the Down tab and click Copy Up Graphic.
The version of the graphic used for the Over state is copied to the Down state.
  6. Click Done.
Your new Menu button symbol has been created and is visible in the Library.

Objects that are in the Library can be used as many times as you like in your image.
